
Piston deluge alarm valve is specially designed for fire protection system use. The valve is an important component in fire protection system and suitably applied to the deluge extinguishing system, drencher and water spray extinguisher which are well and broadly used among the automatic sprinkler and fire extinguishing system.
In case of fire, the main valve will open instantly by using whatever controlling ways, such as electrical, transmission piping and manual control and any other ways. Then the fire pump is driving to start providing enough water to open-type sprinklers that can put out the fire effectively.
Working principle: when detecting system in protection area sends fire alarming signal back to the control center, the signal is processed through the control center and then becomes open signal transferring to the solenoid pilot valve on deluge alarm valve. The opening solenoid pilot valve actuates the deluge alarm valve to operate and water starts to flow into piping system from supplying pipe on the side of deluge alarm valve. Passing through the sprinklers, the water sprays out to extinguish fire. Meanwhile a small portion of water drives the water powered alarm and pressure switch through alarm pipeline to send alarming signal to make extinguishing and alarm purposes.
